After picking you up at your hotel in Phuket, your driver will take you to the Elephant Conservation Center. Upon arrival, you will be met by the staff on site and given a chance to change into a mahout outfit. Enjoy complimentary coffee and cookies before your elephant encounter. Then, meet two baby elephants and learn about elephants and the local Karen culture from the sanctuary guide. Experience local culture with a tie-dyeing experience. Learn about the Karen dyeing technique, then design your own fabric on a handkerchief-sized piece of cloth. Then, sample Khanom Krok, a Thai coconut sticky rice cake. Watch a cooking demonstration, then taste the cake as soon as it is ready. Then, prepare food for the elephants. Prepare the elephants’ favorite foods and vitamins, then enjoy feeding them while the sanctuary’s photographer takes your picture. Once your elephants are full, take a walk through the jungle to observe your new big friends’ behavior up close amidst the green nature. Travel from the jungle to the swimming pool and enjoy a mud spa and natural bath with your elephant friends. Have fun playing in the water with the elephants who love to play in the water.
