Itinerary

You will take your own transportation to the Elephant Conservation Center. Upon arrival, you will be met by the staff on site and given a chance to change into a mahout outfit. Enjoy complimentary coffee and cookies before your elephant encounter. Then, meet two baby elephants and learn about elephants and the local Karen culture from the sanctuary guide. Experience local culture with a tie-dyeing experience. Learn about the Karen dyeing technique, then design your own fabric on a handkerchief-sized piece of cloth. Then, sample Khanom Krok, a Thai coconut sticky rice cake. Watch a cooking demonstration, then taste the cake as soon as it is ready. Then, prepare food for the elephants. Prepare the elephants’ favorite foods and vitamins, then enjoy feeding them while the sanctuary’s photographer takes your picture. Once your elephants are full, take a walk through the jungle to observe your new big friends’ behavior up close amidst the green nature. Travel from the jungle to the swimming pool and enjoy a mud spa and natural bath with your elephant friends. Have fun playing in the water with the elephants who love to play in the water. Next, enjoy a delicious Thai buffet featuring authentic flavors made from fresh ingredients from the farm. Download a free photo, then say goodbye to your guide. Check in for your own transfer back to your hotel.

No, transfer is not included. You need to arrange your own transport to and from the camp. We recommend booking a private taxi or rental car in advance.

Yes, children can join and interact with elephants up close. Activities like feeding and bathing are family-friendly. Supervise young kids near the elephants and pool at all times.

4What should I wear and bring on the day?+

Wear clothes you do not mind getting muddy and wet. Bring a change of clothes, water shoes or sandals, sunscreen, and a small bag. The camp provides some equipment for activities.

5What happens if it rains? Can I cancel or reschedule?+

The program runs in light rain as activities are partly outdoors and water-based. For heavy weather cancellations, contact us at least 24 hours before your session to reschedule without a penalty fee.
