Phuket Old Town is the island's cultural heart: streets of pastel Sino-Portuguese shophouses built on tin-mining wealth, Chinese shrines, heritage cafés and some of southern Thailand's best street food. Thalang Road and its side sois are the core, walkable in a relaxed half day.
It's the ideal rain-proof and non-swimming component in any Phuket itinerary — easily combined with Big Buddha and viewpoint stops on a private city tour, or reached independently by private transfer from any beach zone.
